Kamagra
Kamagra is an oral phosphodiesterase inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.
Drug Uses
The active ingredient in Kamagra, sildenafil, relaxes muscles in the body. This allows blood to flow more easily to the penis so that a man can achieve an erection and maintain it for successful sexual intercourse. An erection can only occur during sexual stimulation. Kamagra will not enable a man to achieve an erection without sexual stimulation. Kamagra is for use by men only.
Dosage
Kamagra comes in tablet form to be taken orally. Always use Kamagra exactly as prescribed by a doctor. Never increase or decrease the dosage without your doctor's permission. The dose should be taken about one hour before sexual activity. The effects can last for up to four hours.
Doses range from 25-100mg. The usual starting dose is 50mg which may be adjusted by your doctor if necessary. Men with liver or kidney problems or men who are taking erythromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, or saquinavir, are usually prescribed a dose of 25mg of Kamagra. Do not take more than one dose of Kamagra a day. Men using ritonavir should use Kamagra every second day.
To avoid blood pressure dropping, do not take the 50mg or the 100mg dose of Kamagra within four hours of taking an alpha-blocker.
Missed Dose
Kamagra is used when required, so this is not applicable.
Side-effects of Kamagra
Common side effects include headaches, flushing, nasal congestion, and stomach ache after eating. Less common side-effects include vision problems, sensitivity to light, bloody or cloudy urine, increased urination, painful urination, bladder pain, dizziness, and diarrhea. Rare side-effects include seizures, blindness (in extreme cases), prolonged erection, burning or swelling of the eyes, and anxiety.
Storage
Kamagra should be stored in an air-tight container in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
Overdose
Although no cases of overdose with Kamagra have been reported, as with all medications an excessive dose will lead to medical complications. If overdose is suspected, call for emergency assistance immediately.
